Description
This large, roundish fruit has clear yellow skin with a dotted and marbled red blush. The flesh is firm, yet tender, and aromatic. Excellent for slicing, drying, and fresh eating. It is a hardy variety that bears early and abundantly. Requires cross-pollination and ripens from mid-September to early October. It was once a leading commercial variety and originated in Belgium in the early 1800’s. Hardy to -45F.
